This creative and practical course encourages students to experiment with a range of creative methods, techniques and approaches to their photography to develop their confidence, personal style and creative voice in their own photography.
Through a mixture of presentations, group discussions, practical activities and group reviews of work students will embrace and explore experimental and innovative techniques and approaches to capturing images leading to personal creative work. The course also introduces creative thinking skills and how to generate ideas in a creative context and photography practice.
The course is designed for individuals who have a passion for photography and would like to improve their creative skills beyond their existing knowledge and use of their camera equipment.
This is a non-credited course meaning there is no formal qualification or set mark. Feedback will be provided on a weekly basis through the group reviews, discussions, practical activities and weekly assignments equipping you to carry on developing your creative photography.
This is an ideal follow on to the Intermediate Digital Photography short course.
You will benefit from course tutor and professional photographer, Kieran Hunt (MA BA Hons PGCHE FHEA). His work has been showcased in the UK and overseas and he has been a nominee in the national ‘Nikon Discovery Awards’ where his work was exhibited at the Olympia Gallery in London. As well as working within editorial, advertising and fine art photography he additionally teaches photography to international students studying at the universities partnership ‘INTO’ teaching centre.
