PLACE: Centre for Art & Photography, Hardwick Campus, University of Gloucestershire
Enhance your existing photography skills and understanding, both creatively and technically. Develop your own creative photography signature. You will start with a refresh of technical areas such as shutter speeds, aperture and ISO, overviewing the creative impact these modes have on your photographs. While developing these skills, you will further explore technical, visual, practical and creative areas, including understanding RAW files, metering modes, filters, post-production techniques, exploring characteristics of light, sources of inspiration as well as investigating portrait, travel, still-life and landscape photography. The latter part of the course will support you to hone your individual photography style and creative flair.
This is an ideal follow on to the Introduction to Digital Photography short course.
You will benefit from course tutor and professional photographer, Kieran Hunt (MA BA Hons PGCHE FHEA). His work has been showcased in the UK and overseas and he has been a nominee in the national ‘Nikon Discovery Awards’ where his work was exhibited at the Olympia Gallery in London. As well as working within editorial, advertising and fine art photography he additionally teaches photography to international students studying at the universities partnership ‘INTO’ teaching centre.
