If you’re a beginner in photography, this course is ideal for you to develop your skills, understanding and confidence with using your digital camera (compact or SLR) to take great photographs and edit them afterwards. You will explore still-life, landscape and portrait photography, visual devices, as well as image manipulation and editing software. With a focus on your own camera, you will develop an understanding of different shooting modes and features as well as technical terms like shutter speed, aperture and ISO. There is no set specification of digital camera required to complete the course.
You will benefit from course tutor and professional photographer, Kieran Hunt (MA BA Hons PGCHE FHEA). His work has been showcased in the UK and overseas and he has been a nominee in the national ‘Nikon Discovery Awards’ where his work was exhibited at the Olympia Gallery in London. As well as working within editorial, advertising and fine art photography he additionally teaches photography to international students studying at the universities partnership ‘INTO’ teaching centre.
