This collection of poetry and prose covers a range of styles, genres, modes and subjects: from the traditional to the transgressive, the domestic to the exotic, the classical to the cutting edge.  What these writers all have in common is the capacity to startle, suprise and unsettle.  They will not tell you what you want to hear.  They will instead tell you what they need to say - if you're ready to listen.
