Detailed Description

Offers a series of reflective essays from 13 academics with an expert knowledge of rural development.  It covers the full range of rural issues from population, governance, welfare, communities, economies, housing and planning through to the environment, land tenure, forestry and agriculture.  Sustainable rural development and the changing character of rural communities in Europe are also examined.

All of the Authors are alumni of the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI) and the book was written in 2011 to mark the institutes 25th anniversary.
